To my dear Clients and Friends of Ronin EV and readers of Current Events,

Happy Sunday. Today, I have some news about myself, and in light of this news, I would like to discuss what the future holds for Ronin EV and Current Events.

I'm very excited to announce that I have accepted an offer to join the incredible team at Rivian. I'm so humbled by the opportunity to join the mission to keep the world adventurous forever. Tomorrow will be the first day of my new journey. There is much to learn and many challenges ahead. I cannot wait.

Now onto Ronin EV and Current Events. Speaking openly, the life of someone building a startup is far from glamorous; it's mostly sleepless nights, moments of doubt creeping in like shadows, financial stresses, and hard sacrifices that go unnoticed. But these are precisely the things that build within us the resilience required to keep pushing forward and adapting, even when success feels impossible. The journey with Ronin for the past 3 years has been arduous and simultaneously incredibly rewarding. Still, now is the right time for a new adventure.

To the incredible clients who chose Ronin EV to guide them through the intricate world of electric vehicles and sustainable energy solutions, to everyone who's ever demoed an EV with me, and to all the readers of the Ronin Dispatches and later Current Events, I want you to know that your belief in the project was a beacon of hope during those tough moments. You were always the "why" that got me up in the morning.

To my friends who stood by me when Ronin EV was taking shape, your unwavering support has always been a lifeline. Many of you witnessed firsthand the sacrifices and setbacks that came hand-in-hand with even the slightest progress. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for everything.

And so, with those acknowledgments out of the way, let's talk more specifically about how things for Ronin and Current Events will be changing going forward.

To be transparent, the EV ecosystem of today is utterly unrecognizable from the one I left behind at the start of 2020 to commence this project. I've known for some time now that Ronin needs to adapt. To do so, I've been developing software internally to formalize and scale my analytical processes for clients as I work to expand coverage and grow the community for Current Events, The All-Electric Newsletter on Substack. This development project began approximately 6 months ago and continues today.

Given tomorrow's new time constraints and the current market environment, this process will continue to be long and arduous but critical to building a streamlined service that exceeds expectations and dramatically lowers costs when guiding SMBs, estates, and even larger enterprises to the all-electric future. I won't be taking any new clients until further notice. As much time as I can give outside of my duties at Rivian will be spent on development.

Now, more specifically about Current Events, the biggest challenge for the past two years has been maintaining consistency of output every week. Indeed, readers are owed an explanation. I write creatively to tell stories about the electrified world in a way meant to captivate people's hearts. That kind of writing takes a lot of time and effort and requires finding the conversations that make people think. Authenticity is of paramount importance to this process. In the spirit of ethical media practices, any coverage of either Tesla or Rivian will have open disclaimers added at the beginning of the articles.

Feliz domingo. Hoje, tenho algumas novidades sobre mim, e à luz dessas notícias, gostaria de discutir o que o futuro reserva para a Ronin EV e o Current Events.

Estou muito empolgado em anunciar que aceitei uma oferta para me juntar à incrível equipe da Rivian. Estou tão honrado pela oportunidade de fazer parte da missão de manter o mundo aventureiro para sempre. Amanhã será o primeiro dia da minha nova jornada. Há muito a aprender e muitos desafios pela frente. Mal posso esperar.

Agora, em relação à Ronin EV e ao Current Events. Falando abertamente, a vida de alguém que está construindo uma startup está longe de ser glamorosa; são principalmente noites sem dormir, momentos de dúvida que se aproximam como sombras, estresse financeiro e sacrifícios difíceis que passam despercebidos. Mas são precisamente essas coisas que constroem em nós a resiliência necessária para continuar avançando e nos adaptando, mesmo quando o sucesso parece impossível. A jornada com a Ronin nos últimos 3 anos foi árdua e simultaneamente incrivelmente gratificante. Ainda assim, agora é o momento certo para uma nova aventura.

Aos incríveis clientes que escolheram a Ronin EV para guiá-los pelo intricado mundo dos veículos elétricos e soluções de energia sustentável, a todos que já experimentaram um VE comigo e a todos os leitores dos Ronin Dispatches e posteriormente do Current Events, quero que saibam que a sua crença no projeto foi um farol de esperança durante os momentos difíceis. Vocês sempre foram o "porquê" que me fez levantar de manhã.

Aos meus amigos que estiveram ao meu lado quando a Ronin EV estava tomando forma, seu apoio inabalável sempre foi um salva-vidas. Muitos de vocês testemunharam de perto os sacrifícios e os contratempos que vieram de mãos dadas com qualquer progresso mínimo. Do fundo do meu coração, obrigado por tudo.

E assim, com esses reconhecimentos no caminho, vamos falar mais especificamente sobre como as coisas para a Ronin e o Current Events mudarão no futuro.

Para ser transparente, o ecossistema de VE de hoje é completamente irreconhecível daquele que deixei para trás no início de 2020 para iniciar este projeto. Já sei há algum tempo que a Ronin precisa se adaptar. Para fazer isso, venho desenvolvendo software internamente para formalizar e ampliar meus processos analíticos para clientes, enquanto trabalho para expandir a cobertura e crescer a comunidade para o Current Events, o Boletim Totalmente Elétrico no Substack. Esse projeto de desenvolvimento começou há cerca de 6 meses e continua até hoje.

Dadas as novas restrições de tempo de amanhã e o ambiente de mercado atual, esse processo continuará longo e árduo, mas fundamental para construir um serviço eficiente que supere as expectativas e reduza drasticamente os custos ao guiar pequenas e médias empresas, propriedades e até mesmo empresas maiores rumo ao futuro totalmente elétrico. Não estarei aceitando novos clientes até novo aviso. Todo o tempo que posso dedicar fora das minhas funções na Rivian será gasto no desenvolvimento.

Agora, mais especificamente sobre o Current Events, o maior desafio nos últimos dois anos tem sido manter a consistência da produção todas as semanas. Sem dúvida, os leitores merecem uma explicação. Eu escrevo de forma criativa para contar histórias sobre o mundo eletrificado de uma maneira que capte o coração das pessoas. Esse tipo de escrita demanda muito tempo e esforço e requer encontrar as conversas que fazem as pessoas pensarem. A autenticidade é de extrema importância nesse processo. Dado tudo o que aprendi sobre esse processo e suas restrições, comprometerei a escrever dois artigos por mês daqui para frente. Também é muito importante, seguindo o espírito das práticas éticas de mídia, que qualquer cobertura da Tesla ou da Rivian terá declarações de divulgação abertas adicionadas no início dos artigos.
